About the Item
A lovely, well made and sturdy Georgian style chest of drawers from the 1890's. The chest is crafted of solid wood that has been "mahoganized", a technique developed during the period to simulate the look and hue of mahogany with less costly and more easily obtained woods. The chest rests on a carved ball and claw foot with talons.
