About the Item
In this listing you will find a beautiful cherry wood chest of drawers with ebony inlay works, done in the so-called "Josephinism" era - a period named after Emperor Joseph II. Germanic funcionalism applied on this piece is combined with its great looking and clean design design. Fine mirror-matched cherry wood veneer was set in a fantastic manner and especially emphasized by inlayed ebonized wood frames all over the chest. The elaborately crafted antique chest of drawers provides three large drawers offering a lot of space. All drawers feature highly decorative bronze hardware. Made in Austria cca. 1790, making it approx. 235 years old.
The chest has been refurbished by a previous owner approx. 10 years ago. It shows signs of time and use, with a charming patina and some chips and scratches, which add a lot of character to the piece.
When purchased the chest will be carefully wrapped up and packed in a way to avoid any damages in transport. As soon as shipped you will receive the tracking number for your package. If you have any additional questions regarding this piece please feel free to contact me.
