Antique "Okidoko"- wooden low display stand with drawer from Tohoku area, Japan.
Manufactured in Circa 1900s to 1920s (Taisho to early Showa period) , estimate from the style
conditions.
Okidoko is originally used at Tokonoma (recessed alcove in traditional Japanese room), put onto the alcove space as a display stand for, such as flower vase or other types of valuable crafts.
This piece has drawer with inner divider, can be used as a tabletop display stand or desk organizer.
