This is an antique personal bedside nightstand. An English, flame mahogany and marble overnight valet or jardiniere stand, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1860.
Striking column form with superb figuring and colour
Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
Select flame stocks show fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
Cool and tactile white marble plinth to the circular top
Of bold form, the tiered lid opens to aid access to the pair of cabinet doors
Finished to the reverse with shapes shelves, over a recessed steel bin
Delightful copper and flame lid with concentric border finish covers the removable bin
Raised upon a stout plinth base with distinctive faceted collar
This is a superb antique personal bedside nightstand, with exceptional figuring and colour. Versatile and beautifully presented. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
