ANTIQUE CHEST OF DRAWERS
Constructed in pine with turned knob handles and raised on turned legs.
Two small over three long graduated drawers.
In its original paint of a yellow ochre ground with hand-painted faux grain paintwork emulating oak.
Dating from the mid-19th century early Victorian period. Circa 1850-1860.
The chest of drawers is in good vintage condition. It is solid and sturdy, and the drawers run smoothly. The original paintwork is present, which has natural wear throughout commensurate with age, including chips, scratches, scuffs, areas of discolouration and some small areas of historic touch-ups. The majority of this wear is on the top. There is some old, dead woodworm present, mainly in the feet. We have treated the piece for good measure.
