Chest of drawers
This Chest of drawers derives its name from a writing by the Russian poet Marina Cvetaeva, it is part of the "Parlami d'Amore" (Tell me about love) collection that Valentina dedicated to the amorous correspondences between couples of artists and writers. Its delicate shade reminds of the amorous sentiment.
It also recalls the Asian atmosphere thanks to the following elements: the pink and purple Dedar main fabric, the bamboo inspired decorations in the front hand-cut out of zinc metal sheet; the decoration on top and lateral sides recalls the body of a golden snake, whose scales have been cut and applied by hand; finally the cascade of bamboo leaves, also cut and applied by hand out of zinc metal sheets.
Each drawer has a brass handle shaped as a flower, the design of the piece is completed by the exquisite detail of lion's paws in the front.
As usual a layer of fiberglass is applied and fixed by hand with upholstery nails and studs, to enhance and protect the refined decoration. Each stud and nail on the cupboard is patiently hammered down by hand, one by one.

Valentina Giovando
Valentina Giovando has an artist’s eye and masterful skill for furniture made from unconventional materials, from lamps draped with fiberglass scales to tables decorated with patterns of cut brass and zinc. She makes every work by hand so each is unique and a testament to her extraordinary capabilities. The Italian designer’s lighting, cabinets and bedroom pieces are audacious, expressive and supremely elegant.
Giovando’s influences are eclectic and her style does not fit into any box. Employing a vast range of materials — such brass, steel, fabrics and fiberglass — she draws her inspiration from nature and historic style eras, primarily Art Deco and Liberty, the Italian take on Art Nouveau.
Born in Italy, Giovando had an early passion for artistic objects and was intrigued by both antique and contemporary pieces. She would add her own artistic flair to these objects, embellishing them with whatever materials were available. Through this experimentation, Giovando developed her practice with its singular style. She moved on to creating her own concepts for furniture pieces and lighting fixtures and bringing these visions to life.
In the 1990s, Giovando opened her own workshop in Sarzana, an Italian town known for its culture of art and design. She has since worked tirelessly and with great creativity to make a diverse offering of opulent works.

Each table has a unique custom design, similar but not identical.
Quotation includes custom design for the top and the base, extraclear glass on top for both tables and custom made OSB box for packaging.
The picture is just a quick rough sketch to make the client understand how the coffee table will be custom design exclusively for them.
As soon as the order is confirmed we will proceed by making a proper technical sheet for both tables and Valentina will hand draw the design for each table.
