About the Item
This rare Danish modern cabinet was designed by renowned scandinavian architects Ilse
Ove Rix for Uldum Møbelfabrik in 1961. The solid wood construction is remarkable. The entire cabinet was crafted using mortise
tenon joinery and the drawers with dovetail joints. Each drawer opens smoothly as intended and is adorned with a minimalist solid brass half moon pull. Expertly finished on all sides, this piece can freestand in a room. The proportions of the cabinet are slightly larger scale than most designs from the period which makes it a good fit for the larger modern homes of today.
