About the Item

Elongated chest with arched lid, raised on wooden feet. The walnut body is entirely clad in tooled leather, richly decorated with floral and geometric patterns further highlighted by ornamental nailwork. Side carrying handles and twin escutcheons with pierced fittings attest to its fine craftsmanship. A distinctive piece with striking patina and presence.
