About the Item
Early 19th-century French oak chest of three drawers with newer professionally layered painted finish in tones of gray, blue, and antique white blended for a soft, mottled effect.
Carved drawer fronts and fluted tapered feet enhance the refined look. Brass pulls ease use of three long drawers.
Restored, strong, and stable. A graceful chest that combines elegance and subtle color.
Old cracks(see top), separations(see sides/drawer bottoms), and light wormhole traces consistent with age. Nicks (drawers/feet), scratches, all typical of a chest just under 200 years old.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.

Located in Round Top, TX
Large chest of three drawers with carved panels from France, circa 1820-1840.
The newer, professionally applied soft gray painted finish (with blue and white undertones) adds a touch of life and interest to this heavy oak chest.
The carved panel drawers, fluted tapered feet and fluted side accents are gently distressed adding to the vintage feel of the dresser.
Expected age-related separation of wood is visible in the drawers and back, but does not impact the strength nor functionality of the dresser.
The three long drawers all function and each have 2 brass pulls for ease of use.

Antique Gray Painted Oak Chest of 3 Drawers from France
Located in Round Top, TX
The soft gray paint adds a romantic touch to this serpentine oak chest of drawers. While the paint was added later, the carved panel drawers, curved front, cabriolet feet and scalloped skirt are gently distressed adding to the vintage feel of the dresser. Expected age-related separation of wood is seen in the top and drawers, but does not impact the strength nor functionality of the dresser. The three long drawers all function and each have 2 (newer) pulls but due to age not all close flush to the frame. This lovely large French chest of drawers...
