Early Victorian burr walnut wellington chest circa 1840.
Beautiful quality wellington in original condition, complete with a fitted secretaire.
Veneered in stunning burr walnut, simple but elegant design. Rectangular top. Carved lambs tongue detailing each side of the top drawer, a further drawer before we get to the faux double drawer front, which pulls out to reveal a stunning contrasting birch interior, of 2 drawers and 4 pigeon holes and original covered writing surface. Completed by a further 3 graduating drawers. Raised on a plinth base. Original handles, working lock and supplied with 2 keys.
Recently hand polished in our workshop. Expected non structural minor age splits to top and sides. Stunning colour and ready for everyday use.
