English Marble Top Faux Bamboo Chest/Commode

An Italian Florentine wooden commode from the 19th century, with white marble top, three drawers, volutes, paw feet and ebonized accents. Created in Florence during the 19th century, this commode features a rectangular white marble top sitting above an elegant apron adorned with a regular rhythm of raised "pointes de diamant" motifs. Three veneered drawers below, accented with ebonized spade-shaped inlaid keyholes flanked with turned pulls, showcase a dovetail construction. These drawers are flanked with delicate volutes creating a perfect sense of unity on the façade. The commode is raised on lion paw feet in the front and block feet in the back.
