Either English regency or American Federal mahogany chest of drawers, 19th century. With a rectangular 3 board top, a large pullout desk drawer with a felt writing surface and a central prospect drawer flanked by small drawers and letter slots, below are 3 graduated drawers, paneled sides, resting on turned feet. Very useable piece of furniture with both storage and a desk. When the writing drawer is fully extended the writing surface measures, width 39.75" depth 17.75". Knee height of writing surface, 31"
