About the Item
An extravagant and large three drawer chest with extensive floral marquetry decoration, heavy bronze mounts, pulls and escutcheons (False), Belgian marble top with fine color and exceptional traditional form. Each drawer with banded panels framing flowers and foliage in contrasting wood, the marble with sculpted edge and the sides and legs with heavily sculpted bronze mounts.
Dimensions: 56” wide by 22” deep by 35.25” high.
Condition: Please see detail photos. Signs of age include light scratching to the marble, veneer losses to both front edges of the legs, a veneer loss and veneer lifting on the right front, a few scratches to the wood on the upper left and right side (See photos) as well as some rough areas to the back edges mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is remarkable.
