About the Item
A fabulous Edwardian well figured flame mahogany chest on chest of neat proportions, finely carved with beautifully rich patination and grain. The stepped cavetto pediment with dentil moulding is raised over an elegantly simple frieze above an arrangement of two short drawers above three graduated long drawers, all cockbeaded and fitted with decorative well cast brass swan neck pulls and escutcheons, flanked with canted corners featuring gorgeous geometric blind fretwork detail with foliate motifs. Raised over a pull out slide with brass pulls above the base with three long cockbeaded graduated drawers with swan neck pulls and escutcheons, terminating on ogee bracket foot.
