About the Item
With a serpentine cross banded top over three conforming drawers with round brass handles and raised on splayed feet. A beautifully piece with finely figured wood beautifully book matched. In fine condition in a nicely faded mahogany bordering on satinwood. This chest was Englands interpretation of the furniture made in France at the time. Makers such as John Cobb specialised in making furniture in the French taste.
