This is a very good looking well made and decorative piece of campaign furniture, this example is very unique as it has the writing slope desk section to the middle and a large thin storage cupboard to the top, this top section would have been used for officers dress gloves, buttons and possible weapons originally, I've not seen many of this type
In terms of the condition, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal age and use related patina marks here and there
