About the Item
A large 1940’s Mahogany Chest with three small top drawers over six large drawers. The Chest has canted and fluted corners on the upper section with Greek Key banding at the top over a raised design beneath, ornate French style drawer pulls and key escutcheons, (The upper large drawer on both sections has a lock and a working key, the remaining drawers with false escutcheons), hardwood interior drawers and enough drawer space for a wardrobe. Very well made and solid feeling.
The Chest-On-Chest measures 68.25” high by 38” wide by 21” deep.
Condition: Please see detail photos. Various signs of age include wood scratching at the pulls, age-related scratches and slight finish losses, one escutcheon is missing and some wood trim loss which does not detract from the fine and authentic presentation.
