A French painted wood, raised two-drawer chest from the 19th century. This antique chest from France features a slightly overhanging faux-marble painted top, with case beneath consisting of two stacked, dovetailed drawers, a nice carved skirt along three sides, and raised upon four curvy legs with exaggerated knees that project outwardly. The vintage paint is an ochre color with off white/gray. This 19th century French chest with faux marble painted top would not only make a great addition to a bedroom or powder room, but perhaps a nice option for a kitchen to hide away table linens and smalls, with cook-books or other decorative objects nicely displayed at top.
