About the Item
A French elm buffet console cabinet, with burl accents, from the 19th century. This antique cabinet from France, approximately 4.5 feet in length, features a rectangular-shaped top with decoratively projected front corners, above a case which houses three small drawers set within the top frieze, over a pair of recessed panel doors below. The front side posts project outward in a semi-octagonal shape, and continue down onto octagonal-shaped bun style carved wood feet. The skirt is clean and straight, and case sides have recessed panels. The elm wood is complimented with burl accents about the case front. Note there is some slight shifting at the top. This 19th century French neatly designed cabinet is as handsome as it is versatile; a great mid-sized piece for your storage and display needs that could find purpose in many rooms throughout your home.

Handsome 18th Century Italian Carved-Walnut Credenza Cabinet
Located in Atlanta, GA
An Italian carved walnut wood buffet credenza from the 18th century. This antique sideboard from Italy features rich walnut wood which has been carved with raised decorative cartouche plaques, in varying designs, about the front face. This piece has a rectangular-shaped top which slightly overhangs the case that is fitted with three small drawers set horizontally above a pair of doors at bottom (which open to a shelf on the inside, maximizing the storage potential of this piece). This chest is presented upon a pair of rail legs at either end with accolade carved skirt, turning to bracket-style front feet, and a single shapely carved foot/brace at front center of skirt that adds just enough lift/space between the case and the floor. The dark, rich wood has a wonderful old patina throughout; a showing of its centuries old age. Note that there have been prior repairs at the side and there is a slight bowing at top. Please refer to the additional images for further detail on the piece. This fabulous 18th century Italian walnut cabinet...
