About the Item
A handsome French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated oak commode. The five drawer commode is raised by fine square tapered fluted legs above block rosettes and elegant fluted designs leading up each side. The drawers are each decorated with richly carved swaging berried laurel garlands and central diamond shaped designs framed within mottled fillets. Each drawer retains their original circular iron pull, keyhole escutcheon and hardware. Each side displays a recessed panel while the top showcases the beautiful wood grain and warm patina. All original rich and warm patina throughout.
