About the Item

A handsome French mid 18th century Louis XV st. patinated wood and marble commode. This wonderful two drawer patinated greenish blue commode is raised on elegant cabriole legs displaying carved hoof feet while flanking the apron displaying an arbalest shape on all sides. Above are the two uniquely designed drawers showcasing wonderful and original patinated Bronze pulls and keyhole escutcheons placed between the sumptuous curves of each drawer. Each side is decorated with a recessed panel displaying a square bottom and curved top, with a finely mottled inner border. Above lays the original and thick pink marble top with an arbalest shaped front to follow the contours of the commode.
