Early 19th Century French Commode is an exceptional and sizeable piece. Its classic rectangular form is supported by refined, turned legs is an understated nod to Louis XVI style influence still present in furniture design at the time. Constructed from solid oak, this piece features a beautifully warm, time earned patina that highlights the natural grain and depth of the wood. Three spacious drawers provide ample storage, each adorned with original brass hardware and escutcheons, adding character and authenticity. Subtle hand-carved details along the drawer fronts showcase the artistry of traditional cabinetmaking from the early 1800s. It is elegant without overstated ornamentation.
