About the Item
A handsome and nicely aged chest of drawers with great Georgian and Chippendale appeal, well crafted in warm-toned medium brown mahogany. The chest features a rectangular top with a soft ogee edge overhanging a two-over-three arrangement of graduating drawers. The drawers are adorned with brass bail handles on circular plaques, simply detailed with fine raised borders around the edges. The chest stands on classic bracket feet, completing the design.
Dimensions: 42.5" wide by 21.5" deep by 40 3/8" high.
Condition: Please see detail photos. No key present. The front left foot has one panel of the foot which has come loose and is with the chest but needs to be repaired and reaffixed. Losses to veneer on the right side at the lower back end. The moulded trim is loose on the back right side of the top. Gentle wear to the finish and scratches to the base trim and between drawers commensurate with age and use but overall presents very handsomely.
