About the Item
An Italian wooden raised side chest, with faux-drawer design and lift-top storage, from the early 19th century. This antique side chest or end-table from Italy, circa 1800, features nice clean lines, recessed panel sides, a center door with a two faux-drawer front motif complete with ring pulls, a straight skirt and presented upon squared legs that taper to their feet. Both the top and front door open to access hidden storage within. A cranberry colored velvet lines the interior of the cabinet. This early 19th century Italian raised chest is the perfect piece where a smaller sized chest is needed; perhaps as a small nightstand, or used as an end table with storage next to your favorite reading chair.
