About the Item

An Italian period Neoclassical small-sized comodino embellished with a beautiful foliate motif marquetry, from the early 19th century. This antique cabinet from Italy, circa 1820, has been nicely hand-crafted in elegant leafy marquetry trim and medallion inlays and veneers about its top and three sides. The case houses a single door which opens to reveal a shelf for storage. This piece is presented upon four really nice legs; squared and tapering with brass shoes at feet. Please note that there are some damages to the veneer (mostly on top). This is a well crafted piece as you can see the backside has been dovetailed! This Italian Neoclassical period side chest, with its skillfully-crafted embellishments and design, is a highly functional piece which could be used to enhance almost any room in your home!
