About the Item

It is an old Japanese drawer. It is an item from the Edo period (1800s-1860s). It has a keyed door so that it can also be used as a safe. Both metal fittings are attached with very old traditional Japanese parts. Even in Japan, it is rare to find products from the Edo period. This has a very beautiful texture with age. This is black and beautiful. Why is it black? Because there is soot. Japan has a hearth culture. When the soot from the hearth reaches the furniture, it turns black like this. The drawers move smoothly and are in good condition. The inside of the drawer is also clean. It's rare. Weight: about 13kg.
