About the Item
This is an antique Japanese-made drawer.
It is made from cedar, and the date "Meiji 45 (1912s)" is written in ink on the bottom of the drawer at the time.
Through years of use, it has turned reddish-black, giving it an artistic texture.
A scrap of cloth that appears to be from that time is tied to the metal handle.
The peeling paint, which cannot be achieved on a new piece, is also one of the elements that make up the overall piece. The scratched texture is also a natural artistic expression born from years of use.
It goes well with interior decorations such as small vases.
This item adds a touch of wabi-sabi beauty to simple, modern interiors, creating beautiful empty spaces.
