About the Item
This is an old Japanese drawer.
It has been used in stores since the Edo period in the Tohoku region, and it is estimated that it was made around the Meiji period.
The material is made of cedar.
There are traces of pasted paper on the drawer, but I don't know what it says. It was probably in stock of products for sale in the store.
Chips and friction seem to be an art that changes naturally with long-term use and cannot be expressed by human hands.
On the side, there was a part that was about to collapse due to aging, but it has been repaired. ( Refer to the photo)
Because of the low height, I think that if you decorate a vase on top, it will blend into the space in a balanced way.
It is recommended to incorporate the beauty of wabisabi into a modern interior.

- Condition:Refinished. Replacements made: ・The bottom plate was replaced because it was eaten by insects a lot. ・On the side, there was a part that was about to collapse due to aging, but it has been repaired. ( Refer to the photo). Repaired: ・We are cleaning and disinfecting. ・It s smooth because I adjusted the drawer and the doorway. These are repaired in-house and carefully restored so as not to damage the atmosphere of the used age. Wear consistent with age and use.
