About the Item

A fine example of a late Sheraton period country style tiger maple tall chest in a three over four drawer configuration. The center fitted drawer has a secret release in a lower drawer for storage of valuables, and the corners are adorned with carved turned pilasters. All of the drawers are finished with glass knobs. The chest dates to circa 1830-1840 and is in very good condition, with minor surface imperfections and light wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: Approximately 51.5H x 43.5 in W x 22.38 in D. Ref: 8
