Louis XV dresser, France 1770. This unique dresser was made in the period between Louis XV and Louis XVI. It still has the graceful curves and the richly decorated bronze fittings of the Rococo style, but the marquetry pattern already starts following the stricter and geometric design language of the Louis XVI period. The dresser has a beautiful kingwood and satinwood veneer and marquetry decoration. The original marble top adds to the elegant overall picture of this exquisite French commode. It comes professionally refinished and French polished. It ships from Germany and includes shipping costs to Boston.
