About the Item

A Louis XV style French commode with a rich arranged kingwood and tulipwood exterior, mounted with gilt-bronze fixtures and Rococo accents, dating from the mid-1800s. The bombe-form body with a conforming serpentine marble top, and composed of two sliding drawers with gilt-bronze pulls and keyhole escutcheons, all resting on four tapering sabre legs that end in gilt-bronze mounted feet.
