About the Item

Chic Hollywood Regency, Asia Modern, Mid Century Modern style chest on chest designed by Helen Hobey Baker, circa 1950/60's. The chest features a two section case, the upper section has two swing out doors which reveal four large interior drawers, and a Chinese style brass faceplate pull. This section is mount to a stylized overhanging top which houses four deep pull out drawers. The entire case is mounted to an architectural base consisting of triangulated tapering wood legs, with brass sabots. This example is in good, original condition - the finish shows some flaws, nicks, blemishes and general signs of age and use, normal and consistent with age. Please see images.
