About the Item
English Military Campaign Chest crafted from solid Cuban mahogany with a beautiful grain pattern and warm patina.
The piece is made in two separate sections — the upper part with three drawers and the lower part with two — a design that made it easier to transport. It features original recessed brass mounts, locks, and handles, characteristic of the portable furniture used by British officers during colonial campaigns.
Both sections are joined with brass corner fittings and mounted on turned feet.
The chest remains in original condition with a light repolishing to preserve its beautiful surface and natural patina.
