About the Item

Original Chest of Drawers in a Rare Design with Exceptional Karelian Birch Veneer A highly original and rare Biedermeier chest of drawers, distinguished by its exceptionally scarce Karelian birch veneer. The piece features an overhanging top, an upper drawer shaped in an elegant wave form, followed by two additional drawers fitted with box locks; two keys are included. The front is flanked by full columns with ebonised capitals, adding architectural presence to the design. The veneer displays an extraordinary grain pattern typical of high-quality Karelian birch. The chest has been carefully restored, maintaining and enhancing its original patina through gentle hand-polishing. It is an authentic survivor of the Biedermeier period, resting on classic block feet. Dimensions: Width: 101 cm Depth: 62 cm Height: 81 cm
