About the Item

A lovely pair of antique Neoclassical Italian School faux painted rouge marble chests with landscape architectural ruins, c1900. This pair of finely decorated Neoclassical chests are hand-painted with marbelized faux columns and aprons. The hand painting is exquisitely done with ribbon decoration on the top drawer and wonderful Cappricco-type scenes across the two lower drawers. The rouge marble is perfectly cut to cover the tops of the chests including the columns. In excellent condition. Measures- 33.75''H x 36.75''W x 19.75''D
