About the Item
A pair of nicely-sized, French style two-drawer raised commodes in white with gold accents. These vintage chests were made in America, with design inspired by French Neoclassical stylings. They each have shapely, serpentine bodies with graceful concave-scalloped sides, and elongated/flattened backsides; this lends these pieces to also function beautifully as wall consoles. They are heavily adorned in decorative molding and various trimmings about the drawer edges, down the front side posts, and center sides. Each of the two drawers is fitted with neoclassical style brass hardware with an escutcheon at their center. The chests are presented upon four rounded and fluted legs which terminate into their spiral-carved feet. Gold/bronze accents contrast and pop against the white, adding a cheerful vividness to the design. This pair of French style commodes are just over 5 feet in width, and together will give an impactful Neoclassic appeal to your home--offering great storage and display opportunities.
