About the Item

Pair of 19th century chest of drawers with faux marble tops circa 1870. Good quality pair of Swedish commodes. Rectangular tops with canted corners and hand painted to look like marble with marks and veining. Fitted with 3 graduating drawers each detailed recessed cartouche shaped drawer fronts, and cast brass handles decorated with urns.   Escutheons with working locks and key.  Each fitted with 4 tapered legs. Later paint with now has losses revealing the woodwork underneath.   Minor fading to paintwork. Drawer runners run well and ready for everyday use.
