About the Item
A masculine, pair of leather-wrapped statement chests, with a chic Parisian flair. Clean lined silhouettes, with sculptured Neoclassical-Empire style busts. These Kreiss chests were re-imagined and customized exclusively for THE TASTEMAKER SHOPPE. A soft white, matte-paint and wax finish was applied to the drawer fronts. They feel fresh and more modern having a sleeker, solid, bright colored contrast between the original, (intentionally) patinated leather frames and newly painted drawers. The wax-finish has a subtle movement, similar to the leather’s natural characteristics.
The leather tops, sides, and posts maintain original toled, embossed gold motifs framing the outer edges. A contrasting, subdued black, matte-wax finish was applied to the shiny brass busts and sandaled feet, bringing their features to life! This one-of-a-kind pair is a rare find—ideal for those who seek timeless design with a modern edge!
