About the Item
A finely crafted pair of Louis XV style commodes, made in Romania circa 1980, marked C 455, NOE. Each cabinet features a shaped pink marble top with soft veining, resting over a serpentine front with a single drawer and cabinet door. The doors and sides are richly decorated with inlaid floral marquetry panels framed in gilt bronze ormolu mounts, showcasing elegant Rococo revival details.
The interiors offer two fitted shelves with original working keys, providing both display and storage. Raised on cabriole legs with gilt bronze sabots and corner mounts, the commodes reflect refined craftsmanship and timeless French influence.
Perfect as bedside cabinets, end tables, or accent pieces, these commodes blend antique charm with 20th-century craftsmanship, making them suitable for both traditional and eclectic interiors.
