About the Item
This beautifully compact chest of four drawers has a lovely golden color hand-polished to a rich honey glow. The top has a shallow routed step-down edge and the front corners of the case are plain, except for an ogee corbel on each side of the top drawer. A wide horizontal flute separates the shallow top drawer, which has an attractive Louis-Phillipe style front, from the lower three drawers, all equal in depth. All drawers are of delicate hand-cut dovetailed construction. The bottom rail is scalloped and attaches to the front feet to form a handsome bracket and the sides are cut-out at the foot
