About the Item

A very nice Sheraton Cherry two over three graduated drawer chest. Probably Virginia or Pennsylvania with carved fluted corners. The case constructed of solid Cherry with Chestnut and yellow pine secondary woods. Drawer bottoms are pegged into the drawer back boards. Drawer escutcheons are either Ivory or bone and the older hardware is a later replacement. There is a piece of old screen on the bottom that was tacked on the bottom at some point in its life, probably to keep critters out. The screen can easily be removed but I decided to leave it as is. Original surface with a great color and patina.
