About the Item

This small scale early nineteenth century French Empire period book matched burl walnut commode or chest features a Saint Anne marble top and two classic half columns that flank the front of the piece. Three drawers of dovetail construction are fitted with bronze drawer pulls and key entries detailed with cornucopia of flowers. Unique for its size of only 38 inches wide, this handsome circa 1810 piece would be ideal for a small-scale living space or as a nightstand. This piece also includes one key with functioning locks.
