About the Item
We delight to offer for sale this amazing Victorian Camphor Military secretary chest of drawers , in original condition. Full of history this particularly chest was bought from Homestall Manor , believed to have once been John of Gaunt’s hunting lodge , the lovely chest was made in 2 sections- upper and lower so that it could be more easily carried either on and off a ship or on a military campaign. The chest has the internal bureau which slides forward to create a desk with two small drawers and six holes. Absolutely stunning piece of furniture.
