About the Item

Pair of 19th century Scandinavian commodes circa 1880. Good quality pair of chests presented in faded light blue paint scheme. Serpentine shaped top with a complimenting moulded edge.  Fitted with 3 oak lined drawers of equal proportions and later ornate brass ring handles and key plates.  Standing on turned front feet and block feet to the reverse. Ideal for use in multiple rooms around the home, such as the hallway, lounge or bedroom. Original paint would have been scraped back and later re-painted into this colour scheme, which allows the grain of the wood to show through.  Very minor small losses to drawer front edges, fading to paintwork. Strong robust design, ready for everyday use.
