About the Item
A primitive and early New England tall chest with 5 graduated drawers, in tiger maple, circa 1790, in original finish and original brass hardware. Unusual sawbuck sides and dovetailed top. The 4th drawer is carved on its face “Bert Quimby”. Quimby is a local family name in and around Massachusetts.
