About the Item
A very fine early 20th Century serpentine flame mahogany chest of drawers, beautifully carved with rich patination and of exceptional quality. The well figured, moulded top of rectangular form with canted corners and reeded border above frieze with pull out section with brass pulls. Raised over four long cockbeaded, graduated drawers with gorgeous finely cast brass swan neck handles and escutcheons, flanked to each canted side with stunning geometric patterned blind fretwork decorative detail, terminating on elegant ogee bracket foot.
