About the Item

A vintage French Louis XV style olivewood veneered two-drawer bombé chest from the mid-20th century, with scalloped skirt and cabriole legs. Born in France during the midcentury period, this exquisite commode features a serpentine front top, sitting above two drawers presenting a similar Silhouette, each fitted with delicate floral style hardware. The edges are adorned with a thin banding, whose darker tone compliments the richness of the olive wood beautifully. The commode showcases a skirt scalloped on three sides and is raised on four cabriole legs. The richness of its olive wood and elegant Louis XV style lines will make this French 1950s two-drawer commode an excellent choice to decorate any bedroom, living room or foyer.
