About the Item

A William and Mary period oyster walnut veneered chest of drawers on bun feet. The drawer configuration is unusual with the four long drawers as opposed to the typical two short over three long. The drawers, top, and sides are all cross-banded in holly. With circular line inlay also on the top, sides, and drawers. The drawers are surrounded by a half-round molding and the top with an ovolo-molded edge. Retaining a rich color and patina throughout. The feet and handles are replaced but appropriate for the period.
