About the Item
Elegant Italian Two-Part inlaid walnut Corner Cabinet. Cabinet features refined marquetry with floral medallion inlays and a beautifully figured veneer arranged in a chevron pattern. The upper section is fitted with a shaped glass door enclosing three shelves, ideal for displaying porcelain, glassware, or fine collectibles. The interior is lined with red damask-patterned fabric, adding both warmth and contrast to the rich tones. The lower section features two solid doors that open to additional shelving or concealed storage. The piece retains its original working lock and key. The softly curved facade, arched pediment, and delicate cabriole-style feet are hallmarks of Louis XV-influenced design, with the overall craftsmanship and proportions reflecting the transition toward the neoclassical taste of the late 18th century.
