19th century French Carved Corner Cabinet Black Forest Open Shelves Bookcase. Direct from France, a beautifully hand carved corner cabinet, almost 6 ft. tall, with upper open shelves, having large, hand carved scroll and foliate designs between both shelves. Lower cabinet features Black Forest carved twig handle amidst dimensional foliage across the drawer front. Large carved scrolls top the columns on each side, with dimensional Black Forest carved fruits and foliage. The stunning center door panel is framed with carving moulding and features center carved Black Forest fruits and foliage with ribbon. Stepped out carved moulding to the shaped base. Well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1890. Measurements: 71.5” ht. x 36.5” x 26.25”. 26.25” center back to left front; 26.25” center back to right front. 36.5” left front edge to right front edge. 39” ht. of base; 32.5” ht. of top sheves.
